Deputy CEO of Tourism Welcomes the World to Saint Kitts with a Call to Dive Into Culture
The 2025 Saint Kitts Music Festival is officially here and with the stage set and energy high, Deputy CEO of the Saint Kitts Tourism Authority, Melnecia Marshall, delivered a message that was part welcome, part cultural rallying cry.
Beaming with pride, she opened with gratitude to those physically present at this mornings press conference and global viewers tuning in virtually. “It’s so special to have each and every one of you with us,” she said, adding a special shout-out to the media who’ve been telling the Saint Kitts Music Festival story for 27 years and counting.
But Marshall didn’t just speak to the longevity of the festival she honed in on what really makes it magical: the people. “A warm welcome to our regional artistes and our homegrown talent, we are incredibly proud of everyone who’s about to light up that stage tonight.”
She reminded patrons that the magic isn’t only on stage. “Don’t just stay home and sleep all day!” she laughed. “Yes, the nights are for partying, but the days are for exploring. Whether you’re into history, hiking, or simply soaking up the sun on our beaches, Saint Kitts has something for everyone.”
Marshall also shared helpful housekeeping notes to enhance the festival experience. With the usual parking venue at Washington Archibald High School out of commission, festival-goers are encouraged to use the designated lot at Port Zante, where free shuttle service will take them straight to the action at Warner Park. And don’t worry about grabbing food elsewhere—this year, a full food village is set up inside the venue to keep vibes and bellies full.
The most exciting part? Saint Kitts is bursting at the seams. “Flights are fully booked. Hotels are packed. The island is buzzing,” Marshall said. “Let’s enjoy this. Let’s be safe and let’s make sure our visitors leave wanting to come back again and again.”
With those words, she threw open the doors to what’s shaping up to be one of the most unforgettable festivals yet. Saint Kitts is officially in full celebration mode, see you there!
