Caribbean Creatives to Converge in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos, for Inaugural CaribCon
This October, the Turks and Caicos Islands will welcome the region’s creative visionaries for the inaugural CaribCon, a new conference designed to showcase Caribbean culture, content, and creativity while connecting some of the most dynamic voices in media, influence, and innovation.
The event, set for October 23rd–26th, 2025 at The Shore Club Resort in Long Bay, will bring together influencers, content creators, media professionals, marketers, and brands from across the Caribbean and diaspora for four days of learning, collaboration, and cultural celebration.
CaribCon is the brainchild of Omega Simmons, founder of SOS Media. Drawing on her Bahamian roots and Turks and Caicos heritage, Simmons said her goal is to build a bold platform that fuels the growth of the region’s Orange Economy and positions the Turks and Caicos Islands as a vibrant hub of cultural and creative influence.
“The Turks and Caicos Islands is celebrated worldwide for its pristine beaches and luxury tourism, but what the world should also see is the richness of our creative community,” Simmons explained. “CaribCon is about access, building bridges to global industries so that our creatives are not only celebrated, but also supported, empowered, and positioned to monetise their craft on the world stage.”
Programming for CaribCon will include dynamic panels, hands-on workshops, live brand activations, cultural showcases, curated networking opportunities, and even a TikTok Turks and Caicos Takeover. Participants can expect to hear from bold voices shaping the future of media and influence, while discovering innovative ways to expand their platforms and monetise their creativity.
Beyond the sessions, the setting itself will be part of the appeal. Against the stunning backdrop of Turks and Caicos, home to the award-winning Grace Bay Beach, attendees will be immersed in a blend of innovation and inspiration, with the islands’ natural beauty amplifying the event’s cultural and creative energy.
“From singers and storytellers to comedians, designers, and digital creators, our region has an incredible depth of talent,” Simmons added. “CaribCon is where we bring that talent together, not just to showcase it, but to build the systems and connections that allow it to thrive globally.”
Registration opened September 1st, 2025, with travel details to follow later in the month.
