Countdown Almost Complete, The Saint Kitts Music Festival Kicks Off Tomorrow!

We’re just one sleep away from the 2025 staging of the Saint Kitts Music Festival, and the excitement has reached a fever pitch. The lights are set, the stage is built and I have it on very good authority that the artistes (at least those scheduled to perform on Thursday) are already here.

This beloved festival, now in its 27th year, kicks off tomorrow night with a sizzling lineup of Caribbean stars. From Soca to Dancehall, the opening night promises a pulse-pounding celebration of music, culture, and unity that sets the tone for the rest of the weekend.

Whether you’re a longtime festival-goer or a first-time visitor, I hope you’re ready because once Kittitians and Nevisians start, they lose all concept of stop. The pace will be feverish…

June 26th – Night One Line-Up

Let’s talk talent! The festival kicks off with an incredible mix of regional superstars and rising stars that reflect the diverse soundscape of Caribbean music.

Kes the Band – The Trinidadian Soca giants will bring the rhythm and the feels. You know they’ll have the crowd going crazy from the first “Hello”

Patrice Roberts – The dynamic Soca sweetheart is sure to bring the heat with any number of her hits. “Is Mas” is one of my personal favs from her recent releases and I hope it’s included in her set. When it comes to fashion, she rarely ever misses so I’m curious to see what feast for the eyes she’s going to bless us with as well.

Yung Bredda – If you don’t know him yet, you’re about to. This viral sensation from Trinidad brings infectious energy, raw talent, and a new-school twist to the soca scene. He’s been doing big things here in the region and on global platforms. I can’t wait to see the effect he would have on the SKMF crowd.

Shenseea – It’s Dating Szn according to Jamaican dancehall princess herself who will be among those bringing the heat to the stage on night one of the SKMF. I’m ready. Are you ready?

Night one of the 2025 Saint Kitts Music Festival proudly shines a spotlight on several incredible local acts, including Akaiiusweet, Tobap, Kollision Band, Honey Bees String Band, and Signal Band. Their presence is a celebration of homegrown talent that continues to raise the bar. Joining them is Dominican artist Trilla-G, adding regional flair to an already dynamic lineup. Kudos must be given to the festival organisers for consistently prioritising local performers, whose energy, artistry, and authenticity are in a league of their own. Their inclusion not only electrifies the stage but plays a crucial role in the development of our creative industries-providing emerging artists with invaluable exposure and reaffirming that our own deserve to share the spotlight.

A Little Backstory

For those new to the SKMF scene, the Saint Kitts Music Festival has been around since 1996 and is one of the Caribbean’s most diverse and dynamic music events. It’s a fusion of reggae, soca, calypso, R&B, jazz, hip hop, dancehall, and everything in between-bringing together legends, local talent, and international stars for three unforgettable nights under the Kittitian sky.

Beyond the music, the festival fuels tourism, creates job opportunities, and gives local businesses a major boost. It’s a celebration of culture, community, and Caribbean creativity.
