Fatima Fete 2025: A Night of Sensational Music, Delectable Cuisine, and Epic Surprises
The 2025 edition of Fatima Fete was nothing short of a cultural and culinary spectacle- a true feast for the senses. Held under the theme D Melting Pot, the event celebrated the rich and diverse flavors of Trinidad and Tobago while delivering an unforgettable night of entertainment.
Let’s be honest—at an all-inclusive fete, the food and the drinks are just as important as the music! This year, the venue was dotted with multiple food clusters, each promising a decadent spread of flavors from ceviche and pani puri to curry duck and wild meat. While I didn’t get to sample the offerings myself, the sheer variety on display was enough to impress any foodie. Of course, it goes without saying that an open, well-stocked bar is the perfect cherry on top of what was an already awesome Trini lime/experience! Fatima Fete also delivered on that front. Drinks flowed freely, keeping patrons hydrated and energized for the epic night from beginning to end.
The entertainment was phenomenal as the event featured a lineup that was stacked with talent. Over a dozen of socas best graced the stage. Trilla G, Yung Bredda, Patrice Roberts, Preedy, Lyrikal, Blaka Dan, Farmer Nappy, Skinny Fabulous Freetown Collective, Kes, and Wadicks were among them.
Lyrikal had the women stage-front on the verge of combustion—he brought the heat! Stunning in all-white, soca princess Nailah Blackman delivered a sassy and energetic fusion of some of her hit songs, and the exuberant crowd ate it all up.
San Juan youth Aaron “Voice” St. Louis upped the ante when he took to the stage. His set was a seamless blend of 2025 hits and past favorites. His infectious joy on stage only fueled the crowd’s enthusiasm, we all sang along as he belted out hit after hit.
Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons did what they’ve been doing all season- they deliveredTH. We jumped, danced, sang, hooted, and hollered—evidence of our enjoyment and appreciation. At one point the Viking noted with surprise, the presence of flag crews. “Since when Fatima Fete have flag crews?” He joked. The couple ended their set with Bunji’s road march contender, Carry It.
As they exited the stage, we all assumed there would be a DJ interlude before Kes and his band closed the show. Little did we know that Machel Montano had included a quick jaunt to Fatima Fete as he continued his campaign to rack up the necessary support heading into the race for Road March 2025! Imagine the crowd’s surprise when he burst onto the stage with a hearty rendition of Pardy! The reaction was visceral, immediate. The crowd went wild. Though brief, Montano’s appearance packed a powerful punch, leaving an unforgettable mark on the night.
Beyond the Stage, Fatima Fete offered a full, well-curated experience. The organizers clearly put thought into the finer details, from a dedicated Shoe Check station (because heels and fetes don’t always mix) to the Senses Lounge where patrons could go sample or top up their perfumes/colognes. I think it was a truly ingenuous touch as it also provided a space to unwind before diving back into the madness.
President of Trinidad and Tobago’s Red Man Association, Kes delivered a near-perfect set much to the delight of his adoring fans. He ensured the night ended on an explosive note with people already confirming their plans to attend next year.
As epic as the Fatima Fete experience was, there was at least one area that needed a bit more attention. Event organisers should-in my opinion- be a bit more mindful when using strobe lights as they could adversely affect those with seizures or photosensitivity. This issue is not exclusive to Fatima but is being shared here as a cautionary tale to ALL event promoters. The bass was also overpowering at times, but let’s be real—too much bass is a small price to pay for a fete this good!
FINAL VERDICT…
Fatima Fete 2025 was a thrilling blend of music, food, and good vibes, all for a great cause, as the event helps raise funds for the school. From the top-tier performances to the seamless organization, it was a night to remember. This year’s staging was arguably one of the best and with a few minor tweaks, next year’s edition could be even better. One thing’s for sure—I’ll be back!
