From Biche To Antarctica, Safia Hosein is taking T&T to the world

As a child growing up in Trinidad, Safia dreamed of becoming a pilot.

Through hard work, grit and an unshakable will to succeed, that dream has been realised. Her career as a helicopter pilot started in Trinidad but she has since travelled to over 60 countries. On Christmas Day, Safia crossed yet another item off her bucket list when she made it all the way to the top of the highest mountain in Antartica- the first Trinidad and Tobago national to do so.

The Vinson Massif is located on the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains near the base of the Antarctic Peninsula.

It measures 4,892 metres making it the largest mountain in Antarctica.

Congratulations, Safia! We can’t wait to see where your travels take you next.
