From Spark to Surge: Creative Power Arts Convention 2026 Set to Ignite the Caribbean’s Creative Future
The Caribbean’s creative industries are preparing for a powerful convergence of ideas, talent, and opportunity as the Creative Power Arts Convention (CPAC) 2026 returns to St. Kitts from September 4-12, 2026, under the compelling theme “From Spark to Surge: The Rise of Creative Power.”
Hosted by the Department of Creative Economy, CPAC 2026 is envisioned as a strategic platform designed to catalyse the growth of the Orange Economy and position the creative sector as a central pillar of sustainable development across the region.
Set against the stunning backdrop of the St. Kitts Marriott Resort, the biennial convention will bring together 500–700 local, regional, and international creatives, industry professionals, policymakers, and cultural entrepreneurs for an immersive nine-day experience that celebrates innovation, cultural expression, and economic transformation.
At its core, CPAC functions as a living creative hub – one where sparks of inspiration evolve into tangible outcomes. Participants can expect an extensive programme featuring over 200 masterclasses, workshops, consultations, exhibitions, and performances, facilitated by 25+ creative experts spanning the Caribbean and beyond.
The convention’s interdisciplinary scope reflects the diversity of the creative sector itself, with representation from visual and performing arts, music, literary arts, film and media, fashion, culinary arts, cosmetic arts, and digital innovation. Importantly, CPAC is intentionally inclusive – designed to serve established professionals, emerging creatives, students, and even those who may not yet identify as part of the creative industries but are eager to explore its possibilities.
Beyond technical skill-building, CPAC places strong emphasis on entrepreneurship, brand development, design thinking, innovation, and strategy, equipping participants with the tools needed to transform creative talent into sustainable enterprises.
The Creative Power Arts Convention is firmly anchored in the belief that creativity is not only cultural capital, but economic power. As Caribbean nations seek to diversify their economies, CPAC stands as a call to invest meaningfully in creative industries as engines of growth, employment, and global relevance.
By fostering collaboration across borders and disciplines, the convention creates space for dialogue on policy, intellectual property, market access, and the future of creative work in a digital age. It is a forum where art meets economics, and where imagination is recognised as a legitimate driver of national and regional development.
CPAC 2026 will feature a dynamic slate of signature events designed to inspire, challenge, and connect participants, including:
• Opening Ceremony & Minister’s Cocktail
• Think Tank Competition
• Creative Enterprise Pitch Competition
• High School Creative Pitch Competition
• Creatives Connect – Games Night
• Marketplace & Arts Gallery
• Poetry Slam
• Paint & Sip
• Culinary Competition & Tasting
• Music Concert and Fashion Show
• Lecture Series and Panel Discussions
• Talent Competitions and Showcases
Each event is curated to encourage knowledge exchange, networking, and visibility, while celebrating the rich cultural heritage and contemporary creativity of St. Kitts and Nevis and the wider Caribbean.
Ultimately, the Creative Power Arts Convention promises more than a memorable experience-it aims to leave a lasting imprint on participants, audiences, and the creative landscape itself. By nurturing innovation, strengthening networks, and amplifying Caribbean voices, CPAC contributes to building a future where creatives are empowered, industries are sustainable, and culture is valued as both identity and industry.
As the signal goes out and creatives answer the call, CPAC 2026 stands poised to transform sparks of potential into a powerful surge of creative energy that resonates far beyond St. Kitts and into the future of the Caribbean.
