Ghetto Flex To Be Laid To Rest On Friday

The funeral service for the late Hilton Dalzell, known professionally as Ghetto Flex, will be held on Friday, July 26th at 10 am at St. Mary’s RC Church on George Cabral Street, St. James, Trinidad.The announcement comes five weeks after the passing of the beloved entertainer, which deeply saddened the entertainment community.

Gillian Dalzell-Webb, Dalzell’s sister, shared that the family faced challenges in repatriating his body from St. Vincent for burial, but these have now been resolved.

“We are grateful for the outpouring of condolences and support during this difficult time,” Dalzell-Webb expressed. “It has been a long and challenging journey since his passing in St. Vincent, but we are relieved to finally lay him to rest in Trinidad.”

Ghetto Flex, renowned for his distinctive artistry, leaves behind a legacy of popular soca hits including “Rock Ya Body” with Denise Belfon, “Soca Daddy,” and “Vroom Vroom.” Denise Belfon, reflecting on his passing, described him as an underrated icon in the industry, stating, “I want the world to know how much of a great talent you were. I love you.”

Friends, colleagues from the entertainment industry, and well-wishers are invited to attend the service to pay their final respects to Ghetto Flex, whose contributions to soca music will be remembered fondly.
