The 2024 Jazz season is upon us! With it, comes a plethora of events where enthusiasts could fully immerse themselves in the soothing, sultry sounds of traditional jazz or the more contemporary, Caribbean Jazz.
Caribbean Jazz is a melting pot of musical influences, blending elements of African rhythms, European harmonies, and Latin melodies to create a sound that is truly distinctive.

These are just a few of the Jazz events and festivals happening around the region this year.

JAZZ ARTISTS ON THE GREENS (Trinidad)
Now in its 19th year, JAOTG has long been considered a staple on the regional jazz circuit. This year, the event officially kicks off the Trinidad jazz season on April 16 at the Greens on Farm Road, St Joseph. Gates open at 3:30pm, with the pre-show slated to begin at 4pm. The actual show begins at 5pm.

This year, the line-up includes Boo Hinkson and Ace Loktar

I AM JAZZ (Trinidad)
The I Am Jazz festival is going blue this year. The event is returning to the Cipriani College of Labour and Co-operative Studies grounds on March 31 and is scheduled to begin at 5pm.

Len “Boogsie” Sharpe
Mike Phillips
Erphaan Alves

JAZZ @ KAFE BLUE (Trinidad)

Elan Parle is heading to Kafe Blue on March 21. The event, which will no doubt be sold out, is scheduled to begin at 8pm. The cost of admission is $200, which can be paid at the door.

BEACHFRONT JAZZ (Tobago)

On April 27 all roads lead to the Starfish resort in Courland Bay, Tobago for Beachfront Jazz. Arturo Tappin is the headline act. Elan Parle and Vaughnette Bigford are among those scheduled to perform.

Tickets cost $600 and are drinks inclusive.
