WATCH: Patrice Roberts Says Her Event ‘I Am Woman’ Is On!

Patrice Roberts ‘ I Am Woman: Stronger TogetHER, will go on as planned.

The artiste made the announcement in a video posted to her Instagram profile on Saturday.

Patrice started the video which was captioned “I miss u guys!!! I’m here…” with a message of thanks to her fans, family, friends and supporters for the outpouring of love in the aftermath of the untimely passing of her fiance and fellow artiste, Ricardo Drue.

“I just want to come on here and say thank you for the outpouring of love and the support that you have shown me. This has not been a very easy transition. It has been very difficult for my family and I, but because of the support that you have shown me, you gave me so much strength, so much hope…”

Appearing subdued in the five minute and forty seven seconds video, Patrice said she can’t wait to perform for her adoring fans.

“I can’t wait to perform and share every moment with you. I can’t wait to celebrate life with you. I can’t wait to celebrate every performance, every stage with you. But most importantly, I can’t wait to perform at Strength Of A Woman on the 7th of February.”

While she confirmed that her signature event will go on as planned, Patrice didn’t give any indication of which other events she is likely to perform at this Carnival season.

“You never know where I may end up,” she continued. “You never know what stage you may see me at, stay tuned. I love you. We’re stronger together.”

The video ended with an acoustic performance of her hit song, Anxiety.

Shockwaves reverberated through the region when news broke of the passing of Ricardo Drue. The Antiguan born artiste died at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre in his native Antigua on December 12.

According to reports, he was rushed to hospital after being found unresponsive and he died while receiving treatment.

Ricardo and Drue were set to be married in 2024.
